Ćulum spoke about Bosniaks parking vehicles in Alipašino, but not about SIPA employees in Banja Luka

(Patria) - After the session of the Commission for Defense and Security of the BiH Parliament, which was not attended by members of HDZ and SNSD, none of the heads of state police agencies wanted to give a statement. A statement was given by the Deputy Minister of Security Ivica Bošnjak and the Chairperson of the Commission Jasmin Imamović. The heads of seven agencies attended today's session, including the Director of SIPA, Darko Ćulum.

Imamović spoke first, stating that all conclusions were reached by consensus.

"We received a report from the Deputy Minister and a report from seven agencies. From this report, we concluded that their mutual coordination is good, coordination with other relevant police bodies is good, as is coordination with the Prosecutor's Office and the Court, and with international institutions; they assess the situation as stable. The discussion indicates that they will continue to work on the principle of constitutionality and legality according to the laws of BiH," said Imamović.

He stated that all seven police agencies are seeking amendments to the Law on Police Officers.

"We have a problem with young people retiring early. We are losing skilled personnel early," said Imamović.

Deputy Minister of Security Ivica Bošnjak said that the security situation is under control.

"Ultimately, we appealed for everyone to refrain, to lower the temperature, to reduce tensions, and not to add fuel to the fire. The leaders have dealt with a whole series of pressures. Regardless of all the difficulties, we are dealing with all the challenges," said Bošnjak.

Journalists were most interested in what happened on Friday, when the public was extremely disturbed and when SIPA employees left the building in Banja Luka.

"Friday was a normal day. The day before March 8th. People are under pressure, precisely because of this misinformation. Mr. Ćulum himself said that last Monday, employees of Bosniak nationality were leaving their cars in Alipašino to go to work in Istočno Sarajevo. All of this caused public unrest," said Bošnjak.

When asked if there were any transfers of SIPA employees to the MUP of Republika Srpska, Bošnjak replied that there were none.

To the question of what will happen with Milorad Dodik and the situation if he does not respond to the BiH Prosecutor's Office's summons, Bošnjak said:

"When we receive any order from a prosecutor, we assess from our perspective when and to what extent we will take operational measures to optimally resolve the problem," said Bošnjak.

Bošnjak stated that the most critical situation regarding personnel is in the Border Police, where more than 600 police officers are missing.
