Ćudić Responds to Miladin: I Spent the War in Sarajevo, and I Was 10 Years Old in 1992

(Patria) - The President of the Main Board of Our Party and Member of the FBiH Parliament, Sabina Ćudić, sharply responded to the accusations of the councilor of the Old Town Municipality, Almedin Miladin.

Since Miladin is mentioned in the controversial recording, which claims that a vote was "lobbied" for the election of Abdulah Skaka as the mayor of Sarajevo in 2016, he made a statement and said that he would have voted for Skaka anyway.

He also criticized Ćudić, stating that she was in Belgrade during the war. Ćudić responds sharply.

"Mr. Miladin and those like you, on April 17, 1992, I turned ten years old. I lived in the then Omer Maslić street, today Enver Šehović street, in Sarajevo. In the apartment where my family still lives. We canceled the celebration of my birthday after the parents of my friend, who lived in the then Darovalaca krvi street, reported that a sniper was shooting at the intersection near the Emergency Room.

I spent the war, like my peers in Sarajevo, attending a basement war school – Elementary School 'Alija Alijagić', moving between the basement and home, surviving together with neighbors, watching some of them die, watching the 'Šibica' building burn from the window of the room I shared with my grandmother Dika, who was a refugee. I could write to you about many things I saw and experienced during that period, emotionally blackmail you and politically profit from my war traumas – but one thing is certain, Mr. Miladin, unlike you and those like you, nothing, absolutely nothing has made me hate, target, or lie about children who were not there during the war. Sarajevo is theirs as much as it is mine. As much as it is yours," she concluded.
