Ćudić: No appointment of Finance Minister, RS must appoint Constitutional Court judges for normalization of relations

(Patria) - Representative of Our Party in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Sabina Ćudić stated that the appointment of the Minister of Finance and Treasury Srđan Amidžić, who is an SNSD cadre, will not be on the agenda of this house's session on Monday.

Our Party has held this position since Milorad Dodik created a problem at a meeting in Konjic in late June, and then attacked the Constitutional Court of BiH. As long as Milorad Dodik's attitude does not change, Our Party refuses to support Amidžić's appointment.

„That position remains, and the result of that insistence is that the appointment is not on the agenda.

If you want to be a blackmailer, then procedural matters that should not be a subject of debate, such as the appointment of a minister, will then be subject to negotiation. We are returning to the starting point of negotiations: are Dodik and SNSD ready to deliver what is needed for the EU,“ she told N1.

She emphasized that BiH cannot be held hostage while the American and European circles are closing in on Dodik and while foreign powers do something.

„We will not appoint a minister. Good will must be demonstrated before any appointment. We have been dealing with Dodik for years, both from the opposition and from the position. This game now requires wisdom,“ she said.

Ćudić points out that a political crisis is evident in BiH, which is also an opportunity to confront these destructive policies.

She also spoke about the rift between US and EU policy, stating that the EU will always remain a dwarf compared to what US policy can do, and that BiH is a victim of this relationship.

„It is legitimate to criticize the EU, but it is inevitable to move towards membership,“ she said.

She adds that the package required by the European Union cannot be adopted all at once and that it cannot be done in one session.

„There is no package, and Milorad Dodik knows that. That package of 14 priorities involves 700 measures that cannot be adopted in one session,“ she said.

Speaking about the Constitutional Court of BiH, Ćudić said that she has no problem discussing judicial reform and the decisions of the Constitutional Court, but that cannot be part of the blockade.

„Any normalization of relations with SNSD must include the appointment of judges to the Constitutional Court of BiH,“ she said.
