ČUBRILOVIĆ'S INVITATION TO BAKIR AND DRAGAN: The conclusions of the NSRS are not open for discussion, they are a matter of accountability

(Patria) - The invitation of Nedeljko Čubrilović, Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, to SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović and HDZ BiH leader Dragan Čović to attend and address a special session of the NSRS, which will be dedicated to reviewing the current political and economic situation in BiH, has surprised many, and initial reactions to such moves are arriving.

"There is no need to speculate about what kind of trap this is again. The important thing is that it is a trap. Mr. Čubrilović, if you intended to invite the chairs and deputy chairs of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which are the positions held by Mr. Bakir Izetbegović and Mr. Dragan Čović, why did you not also invite Mr. Nikola Špirić?" said Enver Išerić, a legal expert and professor.

He notes that Bosniaks, Serbs, and Croats are not tribal communities.

"They are European peoples who want to live in a peaceful and prosperous state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where human rights are respected on every inch of our country. If you do not believe it, conduct a survey of citizens. Therefore, as the speaker of the entity's parliament, ensure that all those who threaten human rights, especially returnees to Republika Srpska, are brought to justice. I want to believe that these are irresponsible individuals and groups and that they are not instructed by those who want to portray coexistence in our homeland as impossible and who are actively working to undermine its constitutional order.

It cannot be done this way, Mr. Čubrilović! Current political and economic issues are discussed in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Therefore, the only correct solution is for the National Assembly of Republika Srpska to repeal the unconstitutional conclusions it adopted and to unblock the functioning of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. No one will grant you legitimacy for your actions in undermining the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is not open for discussion. This is only a matter of accountability, Mr. Čubrilović.

Drop this 'futile endeavor,' Mr. Čubrilović. Go to the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and discuss there. Discuss Bosnia and Herzegovina's European path and the implementation of the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights. The National Assembly of the entity of Republika Srpska is not the place for that. It is especially not the place for discussing your conclusions and blockades. You can resolve that yourself and immediately," Išerić emphasizes.
