Red Cross of Bosnia and Herzegovina launches urgent appeal for aid to affected populations in Morocco and Libya

(Patria) - The Red Cross of Bosnia and Herzegovina has launched an urgent appeal for aid to the affected populations in Morocco and Libya following the devastating earthquake and floods that struck these countries.

A humanitarian number 17023 has been activated, by calling which 2.00 KM is donated, and a dedicated giro account number: 1340011130004680 has also been opened for collecting monetary funds to assist the population of these countries, in accordance with the instructions of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), and partner national Red Crescent societies in Morocco and Libya.

The Red Cross Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with its entity organizations – the Red Cross of the Federation of BiH, the Red Cross of Republika Srpska, and the Red Cross of the Brčko District of BiH, has been in communication with the IFRC Cluster Delegation for Central and Southeast Europe from the very beginning to regularly exchange information and coordinate the collection of aid.

On this occasion, we wish to remind that according to Article 15 of the Law on the Red Cross Society of BiH, in cases of natural disasters and other major accidents, the Red Cross Society of BiH has the right of priority in disseminating news through public information media. Therefore, we take this opportunity to invite you to join our solidarity campaign and, through cooperation, act jointly and coordinated for the common good and help people affected by these natural disasters.
