State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) officers, in an operation codenamed "Pandora", being conducted in a wider area of Bosnia and Herzegovina, have arrested the former director of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, Kemal Čaušević. His lawyer, Asim Crnalić, stated for the Patria News Agency that this phase of the investigation is marked as confidential, and therefore he cannot give statements.
- This is an investigative phase, and it is indicated in the Prosecutor's Office documents that this is a confidential phase. It is already known that the Prosecutor's Office will question him, and this is an official procedure that Čaušvić is subjected to, just like any other citizen – says Crnalić.
He added that so far there are no indications that anything is being done unprincipled.
- The Prosecutor's Office is doing its job, and it is my job to defend my client, and I will do so – Crnalić added for NAP.
Otherwise, as reported by the media, Čaušević said during his apprehension that this is one of the happiest days of his life.
