(Patria) - In just a few hours, we got rid of two big burdens - Milorad Dodik, as president of Republika Srpska, and Radovan Višković, as prime minister, says the head of the PDP caucus in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Igor Crnadak.
"I congratulate the people of Republika Srpska on this day, which marks the beginning of a process of serious recovery and cleansing of Republika Srpska from the severe consequences of the SNSD coalition's rule over the past 20 years.
However, there is no room for rejoicing or celebrations, because a huge job lies ahead of us, deadlines are short, and the public expects statesmanlike behavior in order to protect our institutions," said Crnadak.
According to him, in the coming days, the entity of Republika Srpska is facing one of its biggest tests of democracy, when it needs to first determine who is the acting president of Republika Srpska and who will lead the consultations regarding the new prime minister.
"After that, the ruling coalition, if it is capable, should elect a new cabinet, and then we can move on to early presidential elections.
Any other behavior, such as the non-enforcement of court rulings and decisions of the Central Election Commission, and the violent prevention of elections, is directly aimed against the peace, stability, and future of our children.
These are moments when everyone must think, not about themselves, but about Republika Srpska and its institutions, which are the only guarantee of our survival here," says Crnadak.
Today, he adds, in which Dodik lost his mandate, Višković resigned under severe, inhumane pressure, Stevandić presented his new conditions, and several SNSD clans are engaged in a fierce struggle for the position of prime minister, is the best possible proof that in early elections, the opposition must show courage and determination to finally take the helm into their own hands and lead Republika Srpska forward.
