Crnadak: Peoples in BiH can no longer wait for a better life

(Patria) - BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Crnadak stated that BiH's European future must not be held hostage by political games surrounding the formation of government:

"Determining the answers to the additional 655 questions from the European Commission through the coordination mechanism is a good sign, and the Council of Ministers and the governments of Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH should confirm them as soon as possible," Crnadak said, according to a statement from the Ministry.

"BiH's European future is one of the few major issues on which we are all united, and therefore it must not be held hostage by political games surrounding the formation of government," said Minister Crnadak.

He stated that the SDA's initiative to change the name of Republika Srpska, the declaration of the Croatian National Assembly seeking a complete recomposition of the Dayton Agreement, and the change in the ruling coalition's stance in Republika Srpska regarding the MAP are just some of the topics that have caused numerous reactions "and will clearly slow down the formation of government."

"The people in BiH, neither in Republika Srpska nor in the Federation of BiH, have any more time and cannot wait for party rivalries to end before starting to live better," said Crnadak.

"Without delay, everyone should do their job, at all levels of government, in order to secure candidate status for membership in the European Union as soon as possible. In addition to these messages, I will also convey to my ministerial colleagues from the European Union member states at the meeting on February 1st in Bucharest an appeal for European institutions, after receiving the answers, to make appropriate decisions related to BiH in the shortest possible time," Crnadak added, NAP reports.
