(Patria) - The Vice-President of the Party of Democratic Progress - PDP and head of the PDP parliamentary group in the NSRS Igor Crnadak spoke about the verdict against Milorad Dodik and disagreements within parties regarding early elections.
Among other things, Crnadak said that Dodik himself gave legitimacy to the BiH Court.
"As problematic and politically motivated as the process against Milorad Dodik may be, we must not forget that Dodik, by actively participating in this trial, gave legitimacy to both the BiH Court and the process itself, and we must not forget that it is our obligation to care about the future of Republika Srpska when making decisions before us. Some advocate for the opposition to 'skip' early elections, to slowly prepare for the regular ones, because allegedly 'Dodik must be defeated in the elections'," Crnadak stated.
He characterized this explanation as insincere.
"Firstly, this is an insincere explanation, because with this verdict, Dodik will not be able to be a candidate in the regular elections in 2026, it is forbidden for him. Therefore, this argument is fabricated and does not stand. Secondly, and more importantly for me, is the question of whether we have the right to 'gift' this regime another year? How is it possible to so quickly forget all their rigged tenders, Prointer, buildings owned by godfathers, houses in Portorož, villas in Dedinje, deliberately lost arbitrations, destroyed public companies, young people who have fled from here, the distorted value system, and other irreparable damage inflicted on society in Republika Srpska?", he stated.
He also points out that the authorities will not rest until the elections.
"Until the regular elections, this regime will not stand still: various Prointers will extract tens of millions more from the budget, some of their 'serdars' will collect another 100 million, some godfather will sell another building or two, and they will probably 'invent' another Viaduct. Our duty and obligation is to try to prevent this. In the coming days, two sides will crystallize: those who are the alternative, who want change, a turnaround, shock therapy for Republika Srpska, and immediately, and on the other side, those whose goal is for things to remain as they are. Everyone will have a choice," concluded Igor Crnadak.
