COVID in BiH: 314 new coronavirus infections, 15 deaths in the last 24 hours

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In our country, 314 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in the last 24 hours, and 15 people died.

In the past 24 hours, 1,793 samples were reported to the Institute for Public Health of the Federation of BiH, of which 169 were positive for SARS-CoV-2.

New cases were registered in all cantons in the Federation of BiH, except for Bosnian-Podrinje Canton.

So far, a total of 407,157 samples have been tested, and SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed in 79,348 people.

As of today, 66,491 patients have recovered in the Federation of BiH. In the past 24 hours, 382 patients have recovered. Currently, there are 10,348 active cases positive for SARS-CoV-2.

In the past 24 hours, seven new deaths were reported to the Institute for Public Health of the Federation of BiH, namely: Zenica-Doboj Canton - 3, Herzegovina-Neretva Canton - 1, Sarajevo Canton - 1, Tuzla Canton - 1, Posavina Canton - 1.

As of today, the number of deaths in the Federation of BiH is 2,509.

Since the last report on the epidemiological situation in the entity of Republika Srpska, in the last 24 hours, testing of 626 laboratory samples was performed at the Institute for Public Health RS, the University Clinical Center, and the hospitals Sv. Vračevi in Bijeljina and Sv. apostol Luka in Doboj, and the coronavirus was confirmed in 134 people.

These are 67 male and 67 female persons, of whom 10 are younger, 81 middle-aged, and 43 older.

According to place of residence, 50 people are from Banja Luka, 10 from Prijedor, nine from Doboj, seven from Bijeljina, six from Trebinje, five each from Bileća and Kneževo, four each from Gradiška and Ljubinje, three each from Višegrad, Laktaši and Prnjavor, two each from Derventa, East Ilidža and Sokolac, and one each from Berkovići, Bratunac, Brod, East Stari Grad, Kozarska Dubica, Kotor Varoš, Nevesinje, Novi Grad, Novo Goražde, Pale, Pelagićevo, Petrovo, Srbac, Srebrenica, Teslić, Foča, Čelinac, Šamac and Šipovo.

In the last 24 hours, eight deaths with confirmed presence of the coronavirus were reported to the Institute for Public Health.

So far, 27,668 people have recovered from the coronavirus, and a total of 185,935 people have been tested.

The total number of hospitalized patients is 556, 203 in the University Clinical Center, and 353 in general hospitals.

Currently, 4,154 people are under health supervision, and supervision has been completed for 130,748 people.

Brčko District of BiH

In the Brčko District, 11 new cases were registered today.
