COVID-19 TRAPS ITALY: Prime Minister Conte: The entire country is now a red zone

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte addressed the nation on Monday evening, announcing that the whole of Italy is becoming a red zone due to the coronavirus.

As a result, public gatherings are banned throughout the country, and the Italian government took this step due to the rise in the number of deaths and infections from the coronavirus.

Movement will also be restricted, and Italian citizens will only be allowed to travel for work, health reasons, and emergencies.

“We must change our habits,” Conte told the nation, as reported by la Repubblica.

“The numbers show an increase in people in intensive care. Unfortunately, more and more deaths as well. Our habits must change immediately, we must give up something for the good of Italy. We must do this immediately and we will only succeed if we cooperate and adapt to the new, stricter rules,” the Italian prime minister said.

All public gatherings and sporting events will be suspended, and classes will be suspended until April 3.

In Italy, 7,985 people have been infected so far, more than 1,500 in a single day, 724 have recovered, and 463 have died so far.
