Čović's Stanići have not owned Feroelektro's real estate for 11 months, yet collected two million in rent!

Dragan Čović, President of HDZ BiH, is no longer choosing his means to enable individuals to rob the state, and with the considerable help of the FBiH Government, he has literally allowed Goran Stanić to rob Feroelektro for 11 months since the privatization contract was terminated, while the company's workers remain in agony, writes the Patria news agency.  

For more than 40 months, workers have not received wages, and the debt is increasing day by day. Now, Jelka Miličević, an loyal associate of Čović and the FBiH Minister of Finance, has also joined in buying time for the Stanići. Namely, at the second to last session of the FBiH Government, which was supposed to discuss the plan regarding Feroelektro, Miličević removed it from the agenda, stating that something was unclear to her and that she required clarification.

However, the matter was quite clear and agreed upon with the Office for Legislation of the FBiH Government, and it is clear to the workers that Miličević is enabling the Stanići to continue robbing Feroelektro.

The president of the Feroelektro Trade Union, Senad Smajić, told Patria that it is incomprehensible how Goran Stanić is allowed to do whatever he wants, while the FBiH Government reacts poorly to his illegalities.

- We had just established contact with Minister Aleksandar Remetić (DF), and he was acting according to the law and was with us, supporting us, on the right path, and just when everything was supposed to happen, a new minister arrived. Now we will try to contact him to see what we should do – said Smajić.

As is already known, employees of the Ministry of Trade made an incorrect agenda for the Assembly, and it went in the wrong direction, after which Remetić scheduled a meeting with the Office for Legislation of the FBiH Government, which also included employees of the Ministry of Trade.

- They tried to explain all their inaction by claiming it was outside their jurisdiction. They eagerly awaited that famous Decree, so that they would no longer do even what they were doing. But the Office clearly told them and defined that the FBiH Government only participates in the work of the Assembly and makes decisions in companies where it is the majority owner, appoints and dismisses the Supervisory Board and the Management of the company, and everything else is within the jurisdiction of the ministry, so they could no longer justify their inaction by claiming it was outside their jurisdiction. Thus, together we agreed on further steps and moves on how to proceed with the Government – said Stanić.

Currently, we have a situation with two Supervisory Boards, one belonging to Stanić and one belonging to the Government, where Stanić's is still legitimate because it is still registered in the Securities Registry.

- After the Assembly, the secretary of the Feroelektro company, who is an employee of Stanić, was supposed to push for the registration of the Government's Supervisory Board, but she did not even attempt to do so. First, the President of the Assembly, Lidija Šimić (also Čović's associate, op.a.) from Mostar, delayed the minutes, and when that was also completed, the information went to the Government, and the Prime Minister Novalić was not present at that session, and Jelka Miličević chaired the session and removed that item because something was allegedly unclear to her, so they requested additional clarifications, but that is just buying time for the Stanići – adds Smajić.

The point is that the Office for Legislation of the FBiH Government clarified that even if the Securities Commission registers the new Supervisory Board, a situation could arise where Stanić sues, and the court annuls it. Then we would have the same situation as in Elektroprivreda HZHB.

- That is why we agreed that it would be good to proceed with scheduling a new Assembly, but with a specific deadline, so that a new Assembly session is held in a month, and then there would be no issues for the Securities Commission. We agreed on this with Remetić and the Office for Legislation, but Miličević refused it, and we don't know where it stands now – points out Smajić.

And the workers have not given up, but this morning they received an answer from the Ministry of Trade that they do not have time for a conversation because today is a handover.

- It is unbelievable that a full 11 months have passed since the FBiH Government was registered as the owner of Feroelektro's real estate, which is worth hundreds of millions of KM, and Stanić receives two million KM in rent annually. Meanwhile, the state is struggling with debts and problems, and here people who are not even owners have been allowed to manage real estate and take money, and worst of all, they are creating a huge debt for Feroelektro, i.e., the Government as the owner. The debt to the workers is growing, VAT is not being paid, and the debt to the Tax Administration is also growing. As much as we have encountered various illogicalities, we still cannot believe that this is being allowed to happen, that the Stanići are taking money, sooner or later he will leave and leave the state with a ruined company – added Smajić.
