Čović's congratulations on the 34th anniversary of HDZ BiH: We will readily respond to all challenges, leading Croatian and European policy

(Patria) - President of HDZ BiH Dragan Čović, on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the founding of HDZ BiH, sent congratulations to the members and sympathizers of this party, stating that it is the central party of Croats in BiH.

"As one big family, today we jointly recall the glorious August 18, 1990, when the founding assembly of our political family was held in difficult conditions. This act established the central party that will defend the rights of Croats and the role of our people as an indispensable stakeholder in all processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the coming decades.

What emerged as a movement of independent political will in the difficult and divisive times of the late 20th century has grown into the strongest and most organized political organization of the Croatian people. Therefore, today, dear friends, we especially remember all the fallen and deceased Croatian defenders whose sacrifice made it possible for us to speak of Croats as a state-building and constitutionally equal people.

As we celebrate the 34th anniversary of the founding of HDZ of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I am convinced that in the future, as before, we will readily respond to all the challenges we face, leading not only Croatian but also pro-European policy, which has always been the backbone of our work. On this path, we will continue to protect the peace, stability, and security of BiH and build its European and Euro-Atlantic future.

To all of you, dear members, who contribute daily to the protection of the rights of the Croatian people, the building of a European Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the strengthening of our family, I extend my deep gratitude and encouragement to continue acting even more bravely in the future, always guided by our fundamental values.

May we never forget the suffering, blood, and pain of Croats who are eternally woven into the defense and building of modern BiH, and may we, dear friends, in the peace we enjoy today, never lose the unity of our Croatian people," Čović stated.
