PIC Session Begins in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH

(Patria) - At 3 PM, the session of the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC) began in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH. In addition to ambassadors of member countries, leaders of certain political parties that make up the government, as well as the opposition, were invited.

The topic of the first day of the session is the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The opposition from the Federation of BiH was not invited to the meeting, despite having strong parliamentary capacity, and there is no place for Milorad Dodik and SNSD either, following the attack on the constitutional order.

Below we convey the positions of some of the meeting participants, as published on its X platform by the portal Istraga:

• President of HDZ BiH Dragan Čović blamed Bosniaks for the current crisis in the country.

- The main cause of the crisis is the Bosniaks who are majorizing Croats by electing two Bosniak members of the BiH Presidency - said Čović.

During his five-minute speech before the PIC ambassadors, he did not once mention the President of the RS and SNSD, Milorad Dodik;

• President of Our Party Edin Forto called on the High Representative to react and resolve the crisis.

- Your job is not finished - said Forto, addressing Christian Schmidt;

• President of People and Justice Elmedin Konaković called for "the urgent appointment of the Minister of Security and the appointment of negotiators with the EU";

• President of SDP BiH Nermin Nikšić called on the EU to support the new coalition with the Trojka from the RS;

• The leader of PDP, Draško Stanivuković, also addressed the session.

- We have legitimacy among the Serb people. We are victims of media lynching in the RS. Amendments to the Election Law are acceptable, but I remind you that the issue of electing the Croat member of the Presidency has not been resolved for years and that was not an obstacle to forming the government - said Stanivuković;

• Milan Miličević stated that SDS, which he leads, supports BiH's path to the European Union.

- The policy of SNSD and Milorad Dodik isolates the citizens of the RS. Do not equate Dodik, a sick autocrat, with the RS. Citizens are victims of the regime in the RS - said Miličević;

• Leader of the List for Justice and Order Nebojša Vukanović accused the President of HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, of directly destroying BiH institutions together with Milorad Dodik.

• Representatives of the US Embassy in Sarajevo did not ask for the floor at all, nor did they in any way discuss the attack on the constitutional order of BiH and the current crisis;

• The British reminded that time is running out for BiH and that urgent action is needed;

• Edin Forto addressed the PIC ambassadors with the words: "You all say you don't want Dodik at the table, but he is at the table. He sits in the Council of Ministers of BiH";

• You ask us to adopt the budget, and it is proposed by the SNSD minister. We could also ask you: why don't you talk to Putin? In your countries, you do not talk to convicted and accused persons, even if they are elected, said Elmedin Konaković.
