Čović: I am convinced that Radončić will know how to cope with this ordeal

While political officials remain silent and avoid giving statements after the arrest of Fahrudin Radončić, president of the SBB and delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, the Chairman of the BiH Presidency Dragan Čović gave his view of the new situation, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- It was difficult to comment on anything, what I understood from the media is that Radončić was arrested for obstructing the investigation and judicial activities. I am convinced that my friend and colleague Radončić will know how to deal with this ordeal - Čović told reporters in Zenica.

Čović was in Zenica on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the existence of the Municipal Board of HDZ BiH.

We recall, Radončić was arrested in the afternoon hours in the SIPA operation Lutka 2 on suspicion of obstructing the work of the judiciary related to the case of Naser Kelmendi, which is being conducted in Kosovo.

Earlier this month, Bakir Dautbašić and Bilsena Šahman, members of the SBB, were also arrested under the same suspicions and were ordered into one-month custody. Dautbašić is also this party's candidate for Minister of Transport and Communications of BiH.
