Čović meets with Lajčak in New York

Chairman of the BiH Presidency Dragan Čović met in New York with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Miroslav Lajčak, reports the Patria News Agency.

Čović informed Minister Lajčak about the current political situation and reforms being implemented in BiH. They also discussed the fulfillment of conditions for Bosnia and Herzegovina's accession to the European Union. Minister Lajčak expressed satisfaction with BiH's commitment to reforms and integration. It was jointly assessed that Bosnia and Herzegovina is making efforts to more intensively open the path for BiH's entry into the European Union. They also discussed the refugee situation and activities related to the session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During his stay in New York, Dragan Čović laid a wreath at the site of the destroyed World Trade Center and paid tribute to the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack. He also visited the Ground Zero Memorial.
