Čović with Ferguson: It is necessary for institutions to continue fulfilling reform obligations

The Croatian member of the BiH Presidency, Dr. Dragan Čović, received the Ambassador of Great Britain to BiH, Edward Ferguson, it was announced from the BiH Presidency, Patria writes.

Čović discussed the current political situation in the country with Ambassador Ferguson. It was jointly assessed that it is important at this moment to lower the tensions that burden the reform processes and divert attention from the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which have recently visibly damaged the media climate and burden the functioning of the state.

In this regard, the interlocutors agreed that it is necessary for institutions at all levels to continue to fulfill their reform obligations without hindrance, especially those related to the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It was concluded that the negative consequences of cyclical political crises must be prevented and neutralized by dedicated work on the implementation of key institutional and economic reforms at all levels through compromise, dialogue, and the functioning of institutions.

Ambassador Ferguson, at the end of the meeting, once again emphasized that his country will continue to provide full support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European path.
