Čović with Wigemark and Inzko: Can an agreement on the Election Law be reached?

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Čović, will receive on February 15 in separate visits the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to BiH and the EU Special Representative in BiH, Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, and the High Representative for BiH, Valentin Inzko.

Although the agenda items have not been announced, it is believed that one of the topics of this meeting will be the amendment of the Election Law. For some time now, the international community has been helping BiH political parties to reach amendments to the Election Law, but so far there has been no success on that path.

The foreigners are also offering their own proposal for a solution, which is not acceptable to the BiH side.

Amendments to the Election Law must be adopted no later than six months before the elections are held. The general elections in BiH are held at the beginning of October.
