Čović: Corridor financing not resolved, but we will secure 2 billion KM

After the meeting with leaders of SDA and SBB Bakir Izetbegović and Fahrudinom Radončićem, relevant ministers and members of the three parties, HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović said he hopes that very soon each section of Corridor 5C and expressways will be defined, and that the damaged standard of the last 10 years will be restored, reports the reporter of the Patria News Agency.  

He said that he will receive the exact sections from the relevant ministers so that everything can be completed in the next 6 years.

He also pointed out that it is true that the financing for the construction of the Corridor has not been resolved, but that a solution will be found and funds secured, which is approximately 2 billion KM.

Čović also emphasized that today they spoke very openly about the active process, i.e., about the part related to fiscalization. This method could finance part of the construction.

When asked what standard has been damaged in the last 10 years, given the evident stagnation in the last two years, he said that it is not a classic stagnation "because yesterday we laid the foundation stone for the bridge on Svilaj as a very important strategic infrastructure project".
