Čović at Gojko Šušak's grave

Dragan Čović and his loyal party companion Borjana Krišto visited the graves of Franjo Tuđman and Gojko Šušak in Zagreb today, where they lit candles in a sign of respect.

For Čović, Tuđman and Šušak were peacemakers. Just like convicted war criminal Dario Kordić, whom the president of HDZ BiH welcomed last June in a celebratory-euphoric mood in Busovača.

It didn't matter to him that Kordić was responsible for the massacre in Ahmići, where 116 innocent lives were taken by members of the HVO, including 32 women and 11 children. The youngest victim was a three-month-old baby, and the oldest was an 81-year-old woman.

With this act, the leader of HDZ transparently, and without a shred of shame, denied the war crime committed against Bosniaks.

And he did not stop in his pursuit, choosing no means to prove that he is the one and only legitimate political representative of Croats, and that he will not give up the criminal creation of Herceg-Bosna, which he now more modernly calls the "third entity".

Just a few months after welcoming Kordić, at an election rally in Široki Brijeg, Čović told his enthusiastic followers:

- We have connected everything that Dr. Franjo Tuđman and Gojko Šušak inherited, and we are following their path. The Croatian people are too proud to give up on the ideas of these great men - said Čović.

What Tuđman and Šušak inherited was best felt by the Bosniaks of Herzegovina, as well as Posavina and Central Bosnia.

But... For Čović, Tuđman and Šušak are, at the very least, candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize. The phantom Herceg-Bosna was a state where democratic roses bloomed, and those who were not Croats enjoyed all rights.

It seems that for the leader of HDZ, who obsessively emphasizes the famous Croatian issue, as he proved with the message that he will not give up on the great Tuđman and Šušak, Dretelj and Heliodrom did not exist. In his perception, they were "resorts for the chosen" and exclusively for Herzegovinian Bosniaks.

Čović is also unaffected by the Hague verdicts which proved ethnic cleansing. This includes those against former leaders of the phantom Herceg-Bosna who participated in the criminal enterprise led by Tuđman, Šušak, and Mate Boban.

Čović also promised a TV channel in the Croatian language this year. Judging by how much money is currently being "pumped" into the Kiseljak TV KISS, it should not be surprising if this turns out to be that third channel.

With the story of the endangerment of Croats, in cooperation with Milorad Dodik, from which both benefit greatly in achieving their political and business goals, Čović received a larger share of the cake in the Council of Ministers than he is entitled to.

Now the FBiH Government is awaited to see if the Croatian issue will be resolved there as well.

And with the finalization of negotiations on the division of power with coalition partners, the leader of HDZ also began the story that now they are "framing and fabricating cases" against him.

Probably, as he has succeeded so far thanks to the clumsiness and incompetence of the BiH judiciary in undermining numerous corruption indictments, dismantling cases, and then lowering them from the state to the cantonal level where they naturally fall, Čović is betting on escaping justice in the "Čaušević" case as well. He should not be underestimated, of course, because he has managed to turn clear cases in his favor. After all, why the outcry before the results of the investigation have even been announced. Or does he know something that the public does not, and is therefore deliberately raising a fuss in advance?

With his behavior, especially in the last year, which culminated in today's visit to Tuđman's and Šušak's graves, Čović wants to prove the thesis that BiH is impossible as a state and as a society.

And that the only solution for Croats is a third entity. Perhaps he should also ask the Croats for whom HDZ and he have not given a "certificate of Croatness" and for whom Šušak is not an idol, what kind of state and homeland they want.
