Čović to Lead BiH Delegation at UN General Assembly Session

The BiH Presidency adopted the Platform for the appearance of the BiH delegation at the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, which will be held in New York from September 28 to October 5, 2015, reports the Patria news agency.

The BiH delegation for participation in the 70th session of the UN General Assembly and the High-Level Summit for the adoption of the post-2015 development agenda, which will be held from September 25 to 27, 2015, was determined.

The BiH delegation will be led by the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Dragan Čović. The invitation from the executive directors of the UN Global Compact for participation in the annual UN private sector forum titled "Implementing the Sustainable Development Goals," which will be held in New York on September 26, 2015, was accepted.

At the session, the invitation from the President of the People's Republic of China, addressed to the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, for a visit to the People's Republic of China and participation in the ceremonial celebration of the 70th anniversary of the victory of the PRC over fascism, which will be held from November 1 to 3, 2015, was accepted.

Čović will participate in a high-level conference on the topic "Religious Dimensions of Intellectual Dialogue," which will be held in Sarajevo from November 2 to 3, 2015, within the framework of BiH's chairmanship of the Council of Europe.

 

Adopted Agreements

Decisions were also made on the acceptance of Notes Verbale - exchange of notes between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the People's Republic of China on the allocation of grant aid, the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Croatia on cooperation in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development, the Protocol on cooperation in searching for missing persons between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and the Agreement between the European Union and Bosnia and Herzegovina on the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the program "Europe for Citizens," 2014 - 2020.

At the session, the BiH Presidency ratified Amendment No. 2 to the Financing Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Commission relating to the horizontal program on nuclear safety and radiation protection within the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance for 2011 and the Loan Agreement (Business Environment Development Policy Loan) between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the BiH Presidency announced.
