Čović from HDZ and HNS expels Tonka Krešić-Gagro

(Patria) - The exodus of кадров from the HDZ of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues. After a series of departures from the party, it seems that one expulsion is also being recorded.

HDZ President Dragan Čović has expelled one of his closest associates, Tonka Krešić-Gagro, from the HDZ and HNS, Hercegovina.info has learned from multiple sources.

Furthermore, he announced this at a session of the party's Presidency, where he stated that she is no longer in the HNS and HDZ, and told Borjana Krišto, whose Office Head Krešić-Gagro is as Chairperson of the Council of Ministers, to "see what she will do with her".

Čović allegedly blames his recently close associate for her relations with foreigners, or allegedly lobbying against the HDZ.

Krešić-Gagro is one of Čović's main political hopes, and the level of trust she had is evidenced by the fact that she was his office head when he was a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This university professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Mostar was also mentioned as the new Minister of Justice in this convocation, but it did not fall to her.

The young HDZ member was also mentioned as one of the four women who could take over the Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. But as far as political parties are from an agreement on forming a government, Tonka Krešić-Gagro is certainly even further and has no chance as she is not in her boss's good graces.

Although the HDZ has suffered numerous blows, this is by far the biggest shock in the party, which is only an indicator that the political atmosphere is disturbed or perhaps just realistic and as it should be, given that it is, to a large extent, a partyocracy.

Recently, numerous members have left the HDZ BiH, mostly from Bosnia. Their mayor of Vareš left and requested to be removed from the party, and something similar happened in Tomislavgrad with Marija Bagarić, a representative in the cantonal Assembly who became independent and also requested to be removed from the party.

Čović has experienced the largest number of resignations in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, where a total of 14 high-ranking members of the Youth wing resigned from their positions and party membership.

There, Ante Kelavić, international secretary of the HDZ BiH Youth, the president of the Youth of the Municipal Board of HDZ Maglaj, a member of the Presidency of the Cantonal Board of HDZ BiH Youth of Zenica-Doboj Canton (Maglaj), Ivan Lovrić, a member of the Presidency of HDZ BiH Youth and a member of the Presidency of the Cantonal Board of HDZ BiH Youth of ZDK (Žepče), and Antonio Šimunović, president of the Cantonal Board of HDZ Youth and a member of the Cantonal Board of HDZ ZDK (Žepče) left the HDZ.

A total of 14 members of the Cantonal Board resigned, including the presidents of the Municipal Boards of Youth of Zavidovići, Vareš, and Maglaj.
