Čović and Izetbegović received delegation of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Croatian Parliament

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Dragan Čović and member of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegović received a delegation of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Croatian Parliament.

At the beginning of the meeting, the importance of developing good neighbourly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia was highlighted, with mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas of common interest. It was assessed that institutional cooperation and the intensity of visits are at a high level, and that open bilateral issues need to be resolved through dialogue, in a spirit of friendship and good neighbourliness.

The President of the Foreign Policy Committee, Miro Kovač, emphasized that the Republic of Croatia will continue to provide support and assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to Euro-Atlantic integration, and expressed hope that sincere, friendly, and good neighbourly relations between the two countries will continue to be built.

The necessity of dynamizing Bosnia and Herzegovina's Euro-integration process in accordance with the newly adopted Strategy on a credible enlargement perspective towards the Western Balkans of the EU was emphasized, highlighting the need to take the next steps towards implementing necessary reforms and fulfilling the conditions for candidate status.

Chairman Čović and Izetbegović expressed satisfaction with the fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina has a friend in the EU like Croatia, which sincerely advocates for the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the EU accession process.
