Čović: The fate of the election law negotiations should be known by the end of February

MOSTAR, (Patria) - President of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HDZ BiH) Dragan Čović said in Mostar after the HNS session that he expects the fate of the negotiations regarding the amendments to the Election Law of BiH to be known by the end of February.

- By then, it should be clear how far we have come with the preparations for a joint position that can secure a parliamentary majority for the amendments to the Election Law. Whether we will succeed or not, everyone has their own opinion. I have mine and I will keep it to myself. Until then, we will work hard to make something like that happen - said Čović.

Commenting on the criminal complaint filed against him by former camp inmates from Mostar because he disputed the verdict of the international court when the former leaders of the Croatian Community of Herzeg-Bosnia were convicted of crimes, Čović said he is proud of his 62 years of life, no matter what anyone thinks of them, and that the institutions that received the complaint will deal with it.

The HDZ leader said that the HNS session discussed two topics: the Election Law and the current political situation.
