Cović 'accidentally' in Serbia: He will seek support for revival of H-B

Accidentally or not (he claims that to be a coincidence), Dragan Cović will end his regional tour as the member of Presidency BiH and leader of HDZ BiH today in Belgrade.

He will meet with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić who is just at the same time hosting politicians from the RS. So there will be two members of the collective power of BiH at the same time in Belgrade – Dragan Cović and Mladen Ivanić.

Cović has sent a message via media that he is going to Belgrade 'for a friendly talk with Prime Minister Vučić, and I think that is the way to solve problems'.

- Regardless of the differences that exist between us, I'm convinced that we can solve problems by having more frequent communication.

- I'm aware that will be all kinds of comments on my meetings in Belgrade, but that is our job and I'm responsible for the job I'm doing. I trust that to be the only way to stabilize internal relationships in BiH and the situation in its surrounding, Cović said.

We have findings that, Cović has some messages to convey in Belgrade, and that the timing of the meeting is anything but coincidental.

- The messages he will convey are sent by ambassadors in BiH that he spoke with lately, and they are related to pacifying SNSD leader Milorad Dodik and his war-calling rhetoric, they are also concerned with referendum in the RS which has fired up political situation not only in BiH, but also in Serbia and Croatia.

The issue of referendum has spilled over to the entire region.

Considering the tense relations between two countries, Cović will convey to Vučić reconciliation messages from HDZ leader Andrej Plenković, under the condition that his party wins at the upcoming elections. There will be a personal benefit for Cović, it goes without saying. The recent meeting with Plenković and today with Vučić are good opportunity for him to 'take the pulse' in terms of support from Zagreb and Belgrade for reviving so-called Herzeg-Bosnia, which he has already requested in his letter to High Representative Valentin Inzko, explains our source close to the top rank of HDZ BiH.
