Cormack Pays Tribute to Genocide Victims in Srebrenica

US Ambassador Maureen Cormack visited Srebrenica and the Potočari Memorial Center today, laying flowers and paying tribute to the victims, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

- It was important for me to visit the Memorial Center in my first few weeks in BiH and pay tribute to the victims of the genocide. We hope for a future marked by tolerance, compassion, and cooperation - said Cormack.

During her visit to Srebrenica, the US Ambassador is scheduled to meet with officials of the Municipality of Srebrenica, representatives of associations of families of Srebrenica victims, and local non-governmental organizations. Ambassador Cormack also plans to visit the Elementary School in Srebrenica, the US Embassy's Public Affairs Office announced.
