Cormack: US continues to support BiH in fight against human trafficking

On the occasion of the European Day against Trafficking in Human Beings, marked on 18 October, US Ambassador Maureen Cormack stressed that the fight against human trafficking remains one of the greatest priorities of the US, and with that goal, the US continues to provide support to BiH in its efforts to fight this terrible crime, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- We all know that human trafficking is the most widespread criminal act in the world. Thousands of women and children around the world are at risk. Five years ago, the fight against human trafficking in BiH reached its peak, only to see the scope of this fight decrease a year later, and it became clear that BiH was not taking adequate measures in the fight against human trafficking. Fortunately, many government and non-governmental actors did not give up and did not allow BiH to regress - said Ambassador Cormack.

Today, on this occasion, an exhibition was opened at the Cultural School Center "St. Joseph" in Sarajevo, organized by the Ministry of Security of BiH.
