Cormack with members of the BiH Presidency

Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Čović and members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegović and Mladen Ivanić informed the US Ambassador Maureen Cormack about the current political situation, as well as about the activities being undertaken on the path to full membership in the EU.

They informed her that the Master Plan for the process of integrating Bosnia and Herzegovina into the European Union has been adopted, which represents a substantive and temporal framework for further activities related to the integration process of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the European Union. The concept for a coordination system, which is to be adopted soon by the competent institutions in BiH, was also considered.

The American Ambassador welcomed the adoption of the Reform Agenda, which represents a serious step forward for Bosnia and Herzegovina towards EU membership. The goal of the reforms is primarily to address socio-economic issues, and it is necessary to work continuously and without delay on their implementation. Cormack emphasized that America will support the efforts of the BiH authorities in achieving this goal.

The interlocutors assessed that it is important that there is a general consensus and expressed will of all participants in the political life of BiH to implement reforms and achieve progress that will bring BiH closer to the European Union.
