Cormack spoke with Zvizdić: The US will focus on further development of positive processes

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić spoke today in Sarajevo with US Ambassador to BiH Maureen Cormack and informed her about the current political and economic situation in BiH, reports the Patria agency.

They discussed the European and NATO path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the dynamics of fulfilling the remaining conditions on that path. They highlighted the significance of the summit of the American-Adriatic Charter held in July in Podgorica with the participation of the US Vice President and the prime ministers of the Western Balkan countries, and agreed that the messages from this summit are extremely important for the future and stability of the entire region, as well as for establishing the unity of the Western Balkans with Europe.

As particularly important, the commitment of the US to remain present in the Western Balkans and to focus on the further development of positive processes in the region was emphasized.

Chairman Zvizdić and Ambassador Cormack agreed that the American-Adriatic Charter itself is proof of the lasting commitment of the US to the Western Balkans and Europe as a whole.
