Cormack meets Izetbegović: Human rights situation in BiH ahead of State Department report

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegović received the US Ambassador Maureen Cormack

The interlocutors exchanged views on the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The human rights situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region was discussed in light of the upcoming release of the State Department report.

Ambassador Cormack informed Chairman Izetbegović about the US decision to withdraw from the United Nations Human Rights Council.

Chairman Izetbegović expressed regret over this decision, but also hope that the US will continue to participate in other United Nations bodies at full capacity.
