Čolpa invites Špirić to organize a Pride Parade in Banja Luka

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The political concept of uniformity that Špirić speaks of as a danger for Bosnia and Herzegovina has, unfortunately, long been a reality in the part of Bosnia and Herzegovina governed by Špirić and his political allies from the SNSD, as evidenced by numerous domestic and international reports. It is just not in Špirić's interest to say this publicly, because, unlike other citizens in that part of the country, Špirić enjoys numerous benefits of the regime.

This was stated by the President of the Citizens' Alliance (GS) and a delegate in the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, Nihad Čolpa, responding to the accusations of the Vice President of the SNSD and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament, Nikola Špirić, who claimed that a "concept of a Sharia state" is developing in BiH. 

"In the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity of Republika Srpska, led by the SNSD, the political party of which Špirić is vice president, no one who is above the concept of Milorad Dodik has any rights: the rights of Bosniak and Croat returnees to their language are disputed, national representation in public sector employment is not respected, and even those Serbs who are not aligned with the SNSD and Špirić's political matrix are targeted by the regime," said Čolpa.

"As long as war crimes are glorified, genocide is denied, and the oppression of citizens of all nationalities is met with silence..., Špirić has no right to discuss democracy, and especially no right to lecture on what human freedoms are," said the GS president.

He invited the SNSD vice president to organize an LGBT pride parade in Banja Luka, thereby demonstrating the openness of the society he has built in recent years.

"Given that Nikola Špirić imputes that a concept of a Sharia state is developing in BiH, alluding primarily to the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I invite him to, following the example of Sarajevo, which he burdens with the label of a radical environment, organize a Pride Parade in Banja Luka and show the democratic achievements he has built from Dayton to the present day," said Čolpa.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament, Nikola Špirić, said in an interview with N1 television that a concept of a Sharia state is developing in BiH, which seeks to destroy all democratic achievements from Dayton to the present day.
