Čolić on the Election and Appointment Committee: We will use legal mechanisms to stop political force

(Patria) - Member of the Election and Appointment Committee of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament Dajana Čolić (DF) stated that “none of the names that have been repeated in the media since yesterday, and who are supposed to replace them, have been officially received”.

“We don’t even know what the replacement procedure is, because we have an article in the Rules of Procedure that explains how it happens. It is unclear to me how it is possible that DF, which has 12 representatives in the House of Representatives, cannot have a single member of the committee if I am dismissed, while other political entities with one or three representatives, according to media information, can have members in such an important committee.

I was also taken aback by this information when I received it. What we are doing and where we are going is not clear to me either. But what we are trying to achieve is, I believe, clear to all of us. We will use all available legal mechanisms to stop this political force and its demonstration,” Čolić said.

The session of the Election and Appointment Committee was not held today because there was no quorum for work and decision-making. The current ruling coalition has five out of 11 members because two members from HDZ BiH resigned. The coalition's plan is to replace two opposition members with those who are part of the government or vote with the government, as is the case with HDZ 1990.
