Clinton with members of the BiH Presidency: The US will continue to support BiH

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina received a delegation from the United States of America led by former U.S. President William J. Clinton, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Members of the BiH Presidency thanked the United States of America for everything they have done for the peoples and citizens of BiH, and particularly welcomed the continued friendly and active support that the U.S. provides to Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the same time, they noted that American assistance is welcome in more intensively fulfilling the necessary conditions for joining European integrations.

They emphasized the importance of fulfilling obligations on the European path, with special emphasis on economic and financial reforms, as well as resolving other issues that will enable closer ties to the European Union. They assessed as important the existence of general consensus and expressed will of all participants in BiH's political life to implement reforms and achieve progress that will bring BiH closer to the European Union.

Former U.S. President Clinton stressed the readiness of the U.S. to assist the Euro-Atlantic integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to his words, the American administration strongly supports the European integration of our country and the readiness of domestic authorities to implement necessary reforms. The former U.S. President and members of the American delegation once again confirmed American friendship towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as openness to assistance on the political and economic front, including the establishment of public-private partnerships in the U.S. intended to support economic development.
