UNSA Senate Members Izetbegović and Ovčina

With the implementation of the new Law on Higher Education of Sarajevo Canton, the Clinical Center UNSA and the National and University Library have entered the Senate of the University of Sarajevo, writes the Patria agency.

The director of KCUS, Sebija Izetbegović, attended the Senate session held on September 6, while the director of NUB, Ismet Ovčina, was absent as he is out of the country.

In a brief conversation with Patria, he said that NUB had not been a member of the Senate for the past four years, "by some miracle," but that he was glad this had now been corrected, as they were an integral part of the Senate before. The same applies to KCUS.

Otherwise, at that session, the Senate determined that it would record all shortcomings, i.e., parts of the Law that are unfeasible within the foreseen deadlines and, through its representatives in the Commission for Monitoring the Implementation of the Law on Higher Education, delegate proposals for improvement, i.e., amendments to the Law on an urgent procedure.
