(Patria) - Members of the BiH Presidency received Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in Sarajevo today.
Members of the BiH Presidency stated, with expressions of welcome, that the overall relations between the two countries are without open issues and friendly, with a tendency to grow.
The interlocutors welcomed the intensive bilateral cooperation in the fields of education and culture, agriculture, energy, telecommunications, and many other areas.
Satisfaction was expressed with the growth of the foreign trade balance, and the intention to continue good relations and cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
Members of the BiH Presidency emphasized Bosnia and Herzegovina's complete and unquestionable commitment to achieving full membership in the EU, which is of mutual importance for BiH and the European Union.
The decision to open accession negotiations, as they said, is a strong incentive and encouragement for Bosnia and Herzegovina to continue the reform process, and also a result of certain progress in fulfilling obligations.
In this context, they expressed gratitude to Hungary for its support of the country's European path.
Expectations were expressed that progress will be made in the integration process of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the European Union during Hungary's presidency of the Union, in the second half of 2024, and for the first intergovernmental conference to be held as soon as possible.
