Members of the BiH Presidency received Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu

Members of the Presidency of BiH welcomed the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu, for whom this is his first visit to BiH as Prime Minister, and expressed satisfaction with the so far intensity of meetings at all levels, as well as the friendly and good relations between the two countries.

Mutual satisfaction was expressed regarding reciprocal visits at high and highest levels, as well as interest in continuing the continuity of visits in the future. The recent visit of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Bosnia and Herzegovina was mentioned, as well as the attendance of the BiH Presidency at the commemoration of the Battle of Gallipoli, and other visits of BiH officials to Turkey.

Bilateral relations between BiH and Turkey were also discussed, and interest was expressed in the continuous development of comprehensive bilateral relations and cooperation. It was emphasized that economic cooperation should be further developed, foreign trade exchange increased, and a larger volume of Turkish investments in BiH enabled. Also discussed were possibilities for expanding bilateral cooperation in the areas of the industrial and agricultural sectors.

Gratitude was expressed to officials of the Republic of Turkey for the continuous support that the Republic of Turkey provides to all peoples and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and especially for the assistance to the flood-affected area of BiH.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey said that the reason for his visit to BiH is a sad one, namely attending the commemoration, i.e., the funeral in Srebrenica. He emphasized that Turkey is ready to support BiH in all our efforts, because it is in the interest of peace and progress, both of the neighboring countries Serbia and Croatia, and of the entire Balkans.
