Members of the BiH PS Independent Board Visit Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies: Insufficient Staffing

(Patria) - Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH Enes Karić and his deputies Đuro Knežević and Goran Amidžić received the president of the Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Enes Obralija and members Mato Miletić and Milan Stanić today for a working visit.

Today's visit was realized within the framework of the regular visits of the Independent Board to police agencies. Director of the Directorate Enes Karić informed the members of the Independent Board about the state and development of the Directorate since the new leadership took office. He particularly emphasized activities aimed at increasing capacity through continuous training and equipping. He also highlighted a series of activities focused on improving and developing communication, coordination, and cooperation between police bodies, both at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina and internationally, in accordance with legal competencies.

Problems related to insufficient staffing with police officers were also highlighted, as well as difficulties in the material and technical equipping of police officers, which is necessary for the full operational functionality of the Directorate.

President Enes Obralija thanked them for the presented information on the Directorate's development and expressed satisfaction with the progress achieved. Also, on behalf of the Independent Board, he expressed readiness to support the Directorate's role in the police system in BiH within its jurisdiction and within the jurisdiction of the Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
