Members of the Collegium of the PSBiH Secretariat with the Secretary General of the Central European Initiative

(Patria) - Members of the Collegium of the Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH) Kenan Vehabović and Marin Vukoja spoke today with the Secretary General of the Central European Initiative (CEI) Roberto Antonioni about the continuation of cooperation and the participation of the PSBiH Delegation in the activities of the Parliamentary Dimension of the CEI. Emphasizing that our country is one of the most important member states of the CEI, Secretary Antonioni took the opportunity to thank BiH for its successful presidency of the CEI during 2016, when, as he emphasized, BiH was an example of how a country can contribute to the development of good neighborly relations between the countries of the region.

Emphasizing that BiH should become a member of the European Union (EU), Secretary Antonioni said that the purpose of the visit of the CEI General Secretariat delegation is also to assess the possibilities for the CEI, as one of the oldest and strongest European regional organizations, to provide full support and assistance to our country in the process of European integration.

According to Antonioni, the CEI will do everything to facilitate BiH's path to the EU, but BiH must also help itself by implementing reforms with the full consensus of all parties in BiH for EU membership.
Welcoming the Secretary General of the CEI, the Secretary of the Joint Service of the PSBiH Kenan Vehabović and the House of Representatives of the PSBiH Marin Vukoja thanked for the support and efforts that the CEI is making to help BiH on its European path.

In this regard, the members of the Collegium of the PSBiH Secretariat emphasized that all CEI initiatives that support BiH in the process of European integration are of great importance for our country. Vehabović and Vukoja informed the Secretary General of the CEI and his associates that the constitutive sessions of both houses of the PSBiH have been held and that permanent parliamentary committees, as well as members of the PSBiH delegations to international multilateral organizations, will be elected very soon. It was expressed with the conviction that the newly elected members of the PSBiH Delegation to the Parliamentary Dimension of the CEI will participate in the annual meeting of the CEI Parliamentary Committee, which will be held in Trieste in May this year.
