SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Legendary goalkeeper and member of the first championship generation of Football Club Sarajevo Ibrahim Sirčo passed away today, at the age of 81.
He arrived at Koševo in 1963 from Rudar Kakanj and quickly secured a place in the starting lineup, writes scsport.ba.
He competed for the position of first goalkeeper with Muftić, and when Muftić went to serve his military service in the autumn of 1966, he took over the number one jersey.
Until the end of the 1966/67 season, he was indispensable in goal, thus leaving his mark on winning the first championship title.
He made 117 official appearances for the Sarajevo first team.
