All-day protest of educators on October 5

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Educators in Sarajevo Canton have announced an all-day protest on Friday, October 5, from 10 AM to 6 PM in front of the KS Government building. Incidentally, October 5 is established as Teachers' Day, and the protest is held under the motto “Dignity for Educators“.

The Union of Primary Education and Upbringing is calling on educators, political candidates, leaders of political organizations, religious communities, mayors, city mayors, workers, pensioners, students, and citizens to support them in the fight for dignity and the future of our children.

The Union previously organized protests on September 12, demanding a base salary of 330 KM. The KS Government offered all budget users a base salary of 310 KM, and new negotiations with Prime Minister Adem Zolj will be held on Wednesday. The strike of workers in kindergartens and primary schools in Sarajevo lasted from September 17 to 21, when it was interrupted, and the decision on a General Strike was made.
