Ever since Tuzla's Sloboda was relegated from the Premier League of BiH, this city hasn't felt such football euphoria as it does today. Ahead of the derby match of the 20th round of the First Football League of FBiH between Sloboda and Bihać's Jedinstvo, the city of salt is only talking about football.
The charismatic head of Sloboda's professional staff, Miroslav Ćiro Blažević, is confident in his team's victory. Jedinstvo and Sloboda are the two leading teams in the standings. The team from Bihać has a three-point advantage and a potential victory would mean they are one step closer to qualifying for the Premier League of BiH. On the other hand, the people of Tuzla believe they can inflict a second defeat on the team from Bihać in the league and announce their campaign for the top spot.
From the early morning hours, fan songs can be heard on the streets of Tuzla, and as the Patria news agency has learned, a large number of football fans from Sarajevo are also going to Tuzla for this derby.
The Tušanj Stadium is too small to accommodate all those who are clearly eager for good football at this derby, which started at 3 PM. The Fukare (fans) greeted the Sloboda players and coach Ćiro with magnificent choreographies.
