Čirkin: Simo Drljača is a Meritorious Citizen of RS for Minister Lejla Rešić!

It is known that many streets in BiH, especially in the smaller BiH entity, bear the names of war criminals, writes the Patria News Agency. This is also the case in the Municipality of Sokolac, where there is a street named Ulica Sime Drljače (Simo Drljača Street).

As stated by Behzad Čirkin, a deputy in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, the Minister of Local Self-Government, Lejla Rešić, from the ruling DNS party, is completely unaware that Drljača was a war criminal.

- To my question to Minister Lejla Rešić, how is it possible that this municipality has a street named after a war criminal, she replied that there is no information that Simo Drljača is a war criminal and that he is a meritorious citizen of RS – Čirkin informed the public about Minister Rešić's answer.

The DNS is headed by the Mayor of Prijedor, Marko Pavić, who, together with Dodik's SNSD and Đokić's Socialists, forms the continuity government of RS, which, according to their deep conviction, extends from January 9, 1992.

- It is no wonder with such a government that even street names are labeled with the names of war criminals. It is a wonder that there are those whose loved ones left their bones in Tomašica and who today vote for that continuity government from 1992 – stated Čirkin.

In order to show Minister Rešić a part of Drljača's war past, Čirkin posted a part of Ratko Mladić's war diary from May 1993 on his Facebook profile, in which he states that Simo Drljača, the former head of the SUP Prijedor, approached him regarding the Tomašica mine where 5,000 Muslim corpses were buried.
