Cikotić at SIPA: Discussion on Migrations

(Patria) - The Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) Darko Ćulum today, with his associates, received a delegation from the BiH Ministry of Security, led by Minister Selma Cikotić.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister Nedeljko Jović, Assistant Minister Mate Miletić, and Heads of Cabinet Senahid Godinjak and Boris Ivanović.

As this was the first official visit by a delegation from the BiH Ministry of Security, Director Ćulum presented the competencies and organizational structure of SIPA and its role in the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The meeting discussed the current migrant crisis in BiH and all aspects and priorities of SIPA's work, with a special emphasis on the fight against terrorism as the greatest security challenge of today, as well as all forms of organized crime and corruption.

Director Ćulum informed the delegation of the BiH Ministry of Security that SIPA, within its human resources and material-technical capabilities, provides assistance to the BiH Border Police in protecting the state border, in order to more effectively cope with the migrant crisis.

Minister Cikotić welcomed the attendees, congratulated the Director of SIPA on his appointment, and wished him much success in his future work. He emphasized that the BiH Ministry of Security stands at SIPA's disposal for any form of support, so that SIPA can respond to the most complex security challenges of today.
