Cikotić with members of the UK Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee: Security in focus

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A delegation of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina led by Minister Selmo Cikotić met today in Sarajevo with members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the UK Parliament, who are on a three-day visit to our country, and during the meeting, discussions were held on the security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the current activities and key challenges faced by the Ministry of Security of BiH. 

This visit is the result of the strong interest of the United Kingdom in the situation in BiH. Also, the focus of the meeting was on the current blockades in the work of state institutions and how this reflects on the political and security situation in the country.

The members of the Committee, led by Chairman Tom Tugendhat, emphasized that in addition to familiarizing themselves with the current political situation in BiH, as well as relations in the region, they want to determine the future role and manner of assistance from the United Kingdom. They also expressed strong support
for preserving peace and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting was also attended by the British Ambassador to BiH, Matthew Field.
