CEC: Processing of applications for voting by mail underway

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Central Election Commission of BiH is processing applications for voting by mail. In this regard, all persons who have submitted applications for voting by mail are required to regularly monitor the status of their application for voters outside BiH via the website of the Central Election Commission of BiH - www.izbori.ba, by clicking on the link „CHECK APPLICATIONS FOR VOTING OUTSIDE BiH“, and entering the requested personal data, in order to be timely informed about the status of their application, i.e., their registration for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After processing the applications of voters for voting outside BiH, a report will be prepared based on which the Central Election Commission of BiH will make a decision on closing the Central Voters' Register for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina, about which the public will be informed in a timely manner.

Also, we inform the public that for the 2020 Local Elections, a much larger number of voter applications for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina have been submitted compared to previous election cycles. In order to ensure efficiency in processing these applications, and given that this activity is taking place under the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Central Election Commission of BiH has organized the work of existing and additionally employed staff in multiple shifts to timely complete the registration of all valid applications for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina.
