(Patria) - The President of the Central Election Commission of BiH, Irena Hadžiabdić, spoke at today's CEC session about the transport of election material from the CEC and warehouses to polling stations, for which an appeal was upheld and the public procurement was annulled.
"That also happened with our public procurement of transport services. We have no other choice but to go into another procedure, but it is evident that they can again be subject to appeals. We are solving the transport problem with our own resources. We did not receive significant funds for transport.
The Election Law states that all institutions in BiH and bodies are obliged to assist the CEC in conducting elections.
We have turned to the Ministry of Defence of BiH because we believe they have a sufficient number of vehicles that could help in the delivery of material. Those negotiations are ongoing. Plans are being considered and we expect this problem to be resolved in the coming days," Hadžiabdić pointed out.
