CEC: First voter turnout report for Srebrenica and Doboj at 12 PM

Today, 02/21/2021, repeat elections are being held for the Mayor of Doboj City and the City Assembly of Doboj at 89 polling stations and for the Mayor of Srebrenica Municipality and the Municipal Assembly of Srebrenica at 28 polling stations (26 regular polling stations and 2 polling stations for absentee voting in Gradačac and Živinice).

Polling stations opened this morning at 07:00 AM and will close tonight at 07:00 PM. There were minor delays in opening at several polling stations due to technical reasons. Election silence lasts until the closing of polling stations, i.e., until 07:00 PM tonight, as announced by the CEC.

In accordance with Article 14.1 of the Election Law of BiH, repeat elections are conducted based on the same candidate lists and the same excerpts from the Central Voters' Register used in the annulled elections.
The repeat elections in Doboj and Srebrenica are supervised by 130 supervisors on behalf of the Central Election Commission of BiH, who have undergone training in accordance with the Program and methodology established and adopted by the Central Election Commission of BiH, and have been certified based on their training and passed exam.

The Central Election Commission of BiH reminds the election administration in Doboj and Srebrenica that Article 17.1 of the Election Law of BiH stipulates, among other things, that representatives of international observers, citizens' associations, political parties, coalitions, lists of independent candidates, and independent candidates may observe all electoral activities, provided they are accredited in accordance with the Election Law of BiH.

Article 17.2 of the Election Law of BiH stipulates that observers, during the observation of the election process, shall not obstruct electoral activities and shall respect the secrecy of voting. Contrary conduct by election commissions and polling station committees is a violation of the Election Law of BiH. The Central Election Commission of BiH will announce the voter turnout in the repeat elections in Doboj and Srebrenica by 11:00 AM at 12:00 PM.
