CEC initiates proceedings against Ramo Isak's People's Force for violating BiH Election Law, Our Party and NiP fined

(Patria) - The Central Election Commission has initiated proceedings ex officio against the People's Force party due to the publication of a promotional video spot led by Ramo Isak, the Federal Minister of Internal Affairs.

The CEC fined Our Party and People and Justice for premature election campaigning.

According to the CEC's decision, Our Party promoted digitalization and the abolition of CIPS on Facebook, as well as the political program of its party and the posts of Nermin Deljkić.

"We believe that it conducted a premature campaign, and the proposal is to fine Our Party with 3,000 KM. At the same time, it was ordered to remove all disputed provisions from Facebook, and the candidate of that party, Nermin Deljkić, to remove the disputed post, and to inform all supporters and candidates of this party that they are obliged to refrain from public advertising and conducting an election campaign," the proposal states.

"It has been proven that it was a promotion of the party along with the promotion of the party's logo on various social networks," said Hadžiabdić.

People and Justice was fined because its candidate Emir Galijašević from the Municipal Council of Tešanj conducted a premature campaign on social networks, published his candidacy, and NiP shared his posts, which represent the promotion of Galijašević as well as the party whose candidacy has already been certified.

Because of this, NiP was fined 3,000 KM.

"We clearly have a mass abuse of social networks and online and electronic media in the form of a premature campaign and promotion of political parties' programs. The CEC is trying to prevent promotion before the official election campaign," said Hadžiabdić.

The CEC rejected the objections of the Democratic Action Movement (PDA), which believes that the current mayor of Banovići, Bego Gutić, is engaged in a premature campaign. On the other hand, it accepted to consider three appeals from the PDA against the decision of the Municipal Election Commission of Banovići and returned everything for further proceedings.
