CEC begins certification of coalitions and independent candidate lists

(Patria) - Reviewing the Report on the verification of applications for the certification of coalitions and independent candidate lists, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina today at its 35th session began the process of certifying coalitions and independent candidate lists for participation in the upcoming 2024 Local Elections.

By the deadline, a total of 59 applications for the certification of coalitions and 9 applications for independent candidate lists for participation in the 2024 Local Elections were submitted.

55 coalitions that meet the conditions for certification and all 9 independent candidate lists were certified, while for 4 registered coalitions a period of two days from the date of receipt of the notification was left to rectify deficiencies in the application.

The deadline for rectifying these deficiencies expires on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 4:00 PM.

A preliminary overview of the certified coalitions and independent candidate lists will be available to the public on the website of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina www.izbori.ba
