CEC certifies the application of the Serbian Democratic Party for participation in the 2024 Local Elections.

(Patria) - The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, presided by Seada Palavrić, on June 27, 2024, in case number AP-2540/24, ruling on the request of the Serbian Democratic Party for a temporary measure, issued a Decision on a Temporary Measure ordering the Central Election Commission of BiH to certify the participation of the Serbian Democratic Party in the 2024 Local Elections, while guaranteeing all accompanying rights until a decision is made on the appeal.

This decision takes effect immediately and is binding until the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina makes a final decision on the appeal.

Acting on the Decision on a Temporary Measure, the Central Election Commission of BiH certified the application of the Serbian Democratic Party for participation in the 2024 Local Elections in BiH at today's session.

An appeal against this decision can be filed with the Appellate Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina within two days of receiving the decision. The appeal is submitted through the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina and is delivered by fax to the number 033/251-329, by e-mail to [email protected], or in person at the headquarters of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Danijela Ozme Street number 7, Sarajevo.

In connection with the above, the protocol of the Central Election Commission of BiH will also operate on the weekend, June 29 and 30, 2024, from 08:00 to 16:00.

As stated by the President of the CEC, Irena Hadžiabdić, if there are no appeals, the decision becomes final on Monday, July 1.

"We must provide this party with new deadlines for any actions regarding ongoing activities," said Hadžiabdić.
